Sunday 29th April 2007 “Attitude of Gratitude”

I must start todays blog by quotin Sammy Kitoto I love his quote…
“We are the generation that seeks His face, that seeks to Touch God.”

As we went into our topic today we paid triburte to our departed sister Mercy Oloo.
Kindly add your tributes to Her in the link above. (Her heart is at rest).

Dear Friends,
Gibson amenoki ball too much, how can he start with that story of ball 2wice… anyway it comes in handy to wake up some of us and catch out attention (munajijua).

So today the key question was like..
‘What is your greatest need?’
As understandbly as ever money got the number one slot but a few of us where reasonable and quoted wisdom, relationships, LOVE, food (@%&*?), and many more. Gibson made it clear though that as much as we may have these needs, most of us dont even appreciate what we already have.

Like.. “You dont know what you have got till you loose it”

and kweli that is a fact, when you are chapwad ngeta and your cellphone is gondied, is when you realise that the numbers you have lost are a great treasure is just but a small example of things we have and assume are all just kawa. How about the big picture? God has given us life, two hands, eyes to see, a roof over our heads, banaaaaaaaa… what more can we ask for?

Gibson first talked about a mama he used to sit close to in class in primo, the guy had the guts to suspect that she used to susu in da daro… A few years down the line, while in high school he meets the same mama looking FLY like never b4… she introduces him to her mano, Gibson drools for like hal a day, he regrets why he never used to tafuta a mop and panguza the pee in the daro in primo. this was funny loooool.

Anyway to the bible reading today
1 Timothy 6:6-7 (NIV)
6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

What does it mean to love a life with attitude of gratitude
There is this photo of a starved girl and a vulture in the background waitin on her to die so that it devours her taken by Kevin Carter. Yap Kevin got recognition fron very high quaters for this photo but still 3 months later he commited suicide. He said,
‘The pain in life overides the joy’ check his story on

Friends, there is so much to be thankful to God for, He has given us so much and we do not realise we need to have attitude of gratitude to see greater purpose in life, to love others and to appreciate others.
Gratitude enables optimism – the assurance of Christ.
Gratitude keeps us centered and wards off jealousy and negativity.

We have to ask ourselves.. are we living to fulfil Gods Plan
Romans 5:8 (NIV)
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Sunday 22nd April 2007 “The Choices we Make”

Dear homies and palz

There is this jamaa called Gibson, I aint sure if he is Pastor Gibson or just Gibson, all I know is that he is a MANCHESTER United fan. That did not go down well with peepz of Arsenal and Chelsea, infact I think pple spent most of the sermon analyzing whether this jamaa is for ukweli… Anyway when the football fever cooled down, it all boiled down to one factor:

“THE CHOICES WE MAKE”

Its all about the choices we make whether they are right or wrong and how our choices ingiana with God’s storo.
Gibson also uses some trivia to finyilia the point of choices, the jamaa chezeshad peeps “Money or the Envelope”.
One mama, Cathy, chaguad the envelope instead of the, 3 finje and patad a NIV bible worth 999/=, what a great choice she made, but rumour has it she had pitiad first service and nusiad the story behind the trivia.
Anyway the second jamaa got lunch 4 two at java, the guy will shiba lettuce with a pal of his choice.
Guy 3 is definately broke… he opted for the cash.

Point being, its all about choice, the life we lead is all about the choices we make

2 Samuel 11:1-5 (NIV)
1 In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.
2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, 3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “Isn’t this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” 4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (She had purified herself from her uncleanness.) Then [a] she went back home. 5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”

David spied on Bathsheba as she was taking a shawi… that was a choice he made…
David chezad bad manners with Bathsheba and she became pg… that is a choice he made

2 Samuel 11 from verse 6 then talk of how David sent for Bethsheba’s Jamaa, Uriah and chapad him lies so that he does not ishia home and find his wife pg with his toi. verse 11 talks of how David Wakishad Uriah till he was as high as a cloud, Hakuishia home. Eventually he was sent back to war th the place where there was the most vita so that he could be killed.

Those are the bad choices made by David.

But David recognised his bad choices and and aknowledged his sin this he clearly states in psalms…

Here are some transcripts from that chapter
Psalms 51 (NIV
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.

4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.

Please read the rest of the chapter and see how David repented. if you have more time online click on

    Psalm 51 online

Ya… David repented he made the right choice, the choice to repent to God and seel forgiveness, and friend… as Pastor Tony would say, God listens to us all the time and everytime.
God looks at all our choices and He aknowledges we have to make tuff choices, but its these tuff choices that strengethen out spirit and willpower to live in the lord Jesus Christ. I, Jonathan had a tuff choice to make, the choice to leave Viceroy, my Embassy kings and the heng, to hook up with Jesus the good Lord. I admit this is the best choice I hav ever made to date.

Gibso’ gave us his storo of choozing to do business in campo and how he descided to hook up with Sir God instead of pricewaterhousecoopers, this was a wize decision.

Yes its true that some of the choices we make are wrong but one mistake is not a bad thing, its rewinding the same mistake thats thick. We should learn through out mistakes and also teh mistakes of our friends… especially our friends in Christ. Fellow Frontrunnerz.

Gibson Left us to ponder on this verse:

Deutronomy 30:15-20
15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.

19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
