Sunday 24th June 2007 “What is the Centre of your Life”

Hi good people,

Now this Sunday was different, different in one specific way, the guy at the pulpit was called Felix, bila lies, Felix as far as I am concerned is the name of a cat, si you all know Felix the cat? I had to take like five minuites to calm my nerves when this chap, Mr. Felix Kioko said his first name. ūüôā

KIOKO… Felix is a cat, please review your name, please. Felix is an orange cat with buldging eyes and a fat stomach. God bless you though, the sermon you gave was teriffic, considering it was your first time, it was teriffic.

Felix Kioko denies the fact that he had watched TV the night before he wrote his sermon but if you ask the rest of the congregation, that will be deemed a lie. Why? because he made the same quote as Kalembe Ndile (MP) (kao).

If the center does not hold, Things Will Fall Apart

Its either Kioko watched the news or that the above statement is a new kao thing. Anyway friends lets get to the matters of the spirit and the soul…

What holds your life? What comforts your life? Friends, is it the fear of the unknown?

What is the centre of your life? Who is the cente of your life?

All these where the questions that Kioko began his premier masterpiece with. By the way, it was great.

Moses, The jamaa who led the Isrelites up out of Egypt was babi in his younger days, as in he was the son of a mdosi, Pharao, he killed someone out of his own ego to satifsfy the centre that he thought. Well friends, if he had known that the centre of his life was God, he would not have taken matters into his own hands.

Ask God what the will for you life is. Its important, if you cant do it through prayer (Recomended way) then go outside, look up into the sky and say the following…

Dear God, What have you planned for my life, what is the will you have for my life, I love you God and I invite you to be the centre of my life now and forever Amen

God will skiza you. By the way, desire comes from God, if you make Him the centre of your life.Ya, you have to be God centred.

Phillipians 1:21 (NIV)

21For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Trust and try with Christ Jesus. have faith in him like the Isrelites had faith in God as they left Egypt and went across the Red Sea.

Why can’t we descide once and for all to give everythign to God? change your ways, Kenya will not stop functioning if you dont change. Kioko stressed that Carnivore can do without your money.

He gave an example of how we take a teacher for granted as they are teaching in class then one day exams come… You look at the questions… “Haiya si I have seen heard this somewhere?” Kumbe you where bila concentration. Let not the end come and find you taking life for granted thinking that you have done it right, you will surely miss out.

Read the bible, that is the only way to miss out. After the Masters Commission lunch, Mama Tj asked her mano (Pasi)…

Now!!! where do we go from here? there is bila anything to watch on the box (TV) and there is bila a good movie…

Pasi answers… “Haiya Si you can go read the bible?!@#$%^&*” I am leaving you all to imagine the expression of Tony’s face.

Point being where are worldly deeds so overtaking out spiritual needs? why are we being left out?

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

If and only if you are saved, you are a new creation, all that is not acording to his will you have left behind. Be ready to serve God.

Galatians 2:20 (NIV)

20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

As ruminants ruminate, so shall man meditate on the word of God. Felix (cat) had some interesting proverbs ay?

The church (ICC) has numerous opportunities for fellowship. There are like 3 main services on Sunday, there are like 2 youth services, there are like C2’s there are CG’z… There are all for free, you do not have to pay a cent. I am sure the same happenz at other churches, akina Pente, bapu, deliverance etc. We are all one.

There are missions where transport is provided, food, dayunm even clud. Be encouraged to come to church. It is very important to fellowship with other people.

Kioko requested that we should come fellowship, Sunday, Prayers on Tuesday, Masters Commission on January through April ya, if you are idle at home, there is something for you to do. Oh and every 2nd Friday of the week there is JD’s favourate.. FNL.

Aiight… Lets talk about Paul (Formerly Saul), the guy who God Blinded and and repremanded as he was going to persecute the Christians. Ya that one. Paul was a role model, This is a tuff task. People believed him and in what he told them. He lead by example. He gave his all to God.

Here is a challenge again, take time to attend fellowship, whitness, surrender, check your hinderances, Give unto God.

The story is told of a man wanted to buy a house from another man, the other man, (seller), gave only one condition, that he should be left with the ownership of just one nail that was sticking off the wall. The buyer happly accepted the condition and purchased the property. Once all the transaction was done, the seller came over and hanged his jacket on the nail, this happened over some time, the new owner did not mind, then one day the guy came and hanged a piece of meat and left it there for some time… (Conclude for yourself, meat hanging in your sitting room for 5 or so days).

Moral of Story…

We claim to surrender our lives to Christ but there are those tinzy winzy bits and pieces that we leave out. Let us give out all to Christ and not leave bits rotting all over.

Roman 14:11 (NIV)

It is written: ” ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’ “

Phillipians 2:9-11 (NIV)

9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Choose the right path, the narrow path, the path to heaven.

Take the risk, take the inititative, think about your life and the areas that you may not have given to God.

Give your life that God may use you, that he may surrender his all to you.

At the end its you and God, Come to him as you are he will willingly accept you.

And Friends that was Felix Kioko’s Maiden sermon.

Take care and have a lovely, prayerful, surrendering and devotional week ahead. Love ya all

take care and Kudos,

Ps. Bila ps today. ūüôā

Sunday 17th June 2007 “Don’t live Your Ugly Past”

Dear Pals,

Pasi had a very giesty micset this Sunday, wow! Msee alikuwa akikaa pop star akiwa recording studio. THUMBS up Pasi.

Mathew 18:20 (NIV)

20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

Pasi was very jolly this Suday, maybe its because of the new micset, naaa, if you all have been following, Pasi said that his best and jolliest day of the week is Sunday because it directly relates to the passage above, yes Jesus is there because we meet in his name.

All in all, this Sunday saw a very interesting topic come to light, and to be quite frank, it touched very many of us DIRECTLY and INDIRECTLY, this was clearly apparent from the kind of concentration and responses from peeps in the congregation. Pasi was not even allowed to make a gender mistake, (he for she) it was instant correction. Well its true many of us live lives closely related to that of Joseph in the bible.

Friends it was requested of us to read Genesis chapter 35 – 50 and if you dont have a bible, please click the link below and read… Please take your time to read this as this will give you the essence of this Sunday.

Yap its the story of Joseph, his background, his achievnemts, his brothers, his father. E.T.C. I will not go into details as it will be easier if you pick your bible and read the story. I guarantee you its very interesting, infact the reason why I am posting this today (Monday) whilst I had the chance to post yesterday, is because I was reading the passage in the scriptures trying to understand Joseph’s life.

It’s all about favouritism in the homes, situations where you find one of you is loved more than their siblings by one or both your parents, yap, pasi was bold and used us as true and living examples. The truth of the matter is favourtism is not in the house next door, it is in our very homes. Yes, kwenu iko. Wacha kunicheki saaaana.

Think of a situation where there are 3 kids in a home, 2 girls and one boy, the girls are forced to drop out of school and different levels so that the available funds can be used to educate the boy!!! This is the situation in VERY many traditional Kenyan homes, yes boys are favoured much more than girls when it comes to aspects such as education. Well, sone folk look at girls as a commodity, nurtured to produce dowry. This is the horrible truth peepz.

Pasi caused a stir when he mentioned that some of us have never had a civil conversation with our parents edging mainly towards boys who have never actualy sat down with thier dads and had a talk man to man. You know!! like the only vibe a jamaa has with his pops is story of if he is reading for exams and or if the cow has been milked or why his report form is not like his pops. Si you guys know that story that folks give that they always came number one in class. Like those days there where no dundas.

Well at least in some instances mothers and thiers daughters will have a civil conversation, like when they are doing some girly activity together, some matheys will go to the extent of discussing thier first bf with their daughters. This made jamas pasuka like never b4. Yaani peeps believe their ol ladies where born married.

Back to Joseph, his zacks, when hunting for a demu hooked up with Rachiel, the zacks of the demu told Jacob(Joseph’s zac) to do labour for 7 years or bust. When the years where over the jamaa is given the wrong demu, Lea. Ya he patas tois with Lea but when he gunduas that the demu he has is the wrong one he jamus but is still goes to tafuta Rachiel. he is forced to jobiso for another 7 years to get her… Peepz 14 years for a demu si thats supakalifajalisticexpialidocious…

God on the other hand had His own plans, he chose to bless the sons of Lea with wisdom, Levi(na sio ule wa worshop team) was the one to start the tribe Levites. The tribe of the Lion of Judah of which the Lord God Jesus Chirst emerged from. Ya, the woman that Jacob kataad. Mpang za God ni za? GOD!!!

Rachael at this time is bila tois and unable to give birth, Sir God at one piont hurmias her and she gets Bejamin and Joseph. Joseph is loved more than Benjamin infact of all the kids of Jacob, Joseph is pendelewad more than the rest. At one point, his brothers uza him and tell the pops that he has chiped. Si that is hatred ofthe highest order?

Moral of the Story…

Remember even today if you are not the favourate kid in the house, chooze not to be like your folks, Chooze to live a different life, you will soon have kids of your own God willing. Dont favour any of them, give equal opportunity. Jacobs dad had 2 kids he also used favouritism, Jospeh does the same. You dont have to inheit a legacy of favouring one of your kids.

Friends you have to purpose, leave those scars out, bind those issues of bad past and favoured siblings. Pasi gave a classic example of how his sisters where favoured more than him because they had the big brains and now his zacks lengad him. Like a see saw, when the zacks checks in, Pasi checks out of the digs. Ya that is what happens in very many of our homes today. Yes you…

Its true that folks can cause you pain, pain to the extent that you cant wait for the day that you pata jobiso and leave that hao, never to return again, bila looking back lest you turn into a block of salt. peepz dont weka that grudge… check what the bible says…

Psalms 66:18 (NIV)

18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;

Yap, Dont cherish sin in your heart. Free yourself and the Lord will hear you out all the way, temana with that ugly past and think a bright and non favoured future.

Pasi was told by his mama (Mama TJ) that he favours one of his tois more than the other… I bet ya pasi kataad at first. Ideally Tj us naughty and needs a scolding once in a while, Toria is less naughty and knows how to hide behind daddy when he errs since dad imagines that he is a good boy. Mama TJ ofcourse is mkali and someas Pasi and over time He observes and finds that he is actually favouring one without knowing. Ya sometimes it happens without you knowing it isn happening, so before you blame your folks, pray for them.

Its easy to miss these situations so please purpose your life, dont take bad things to your homes, be pals with your siblings, how can you claim to be bored at home when your bro or sis is there? Ati because you dont vybe…!!! Dyum… Blood is thicker than water when all is said and done.

Pasi again reitarates that he cant chapana with mama TJ, thus stressing the point that we must love our partners. You cant shower off love, ya, I still have a kamfeel for my x and that was like 4 years ago. Kill that vybe. Dont throw in the towel.

Years later, Joseph goes helps and saves his family, the same ones who hated on him. Ya, blood is thicker than water right???!!!

Resolve your differences, Dont let the devil steal from you what is most precious, don’t favour, give equal love to all your family members. Pasi again gives the example of his kids not knowing his mom. He has vowed thru prayer that one day they will meet and see thier granny.

If and when you have kids tell then great stories, begin an generation of blessing, a generation with no favouring whether sone are brains, athletes or just regular kids, love then all the same. Do this by putting Christ as the head of your home.

People, know your partners b4 your marry them, take time to know thier families, after all they will be your inlaws right? Again dont live for your jobs like jobo is your first home then digs your second.

First trust in Christ and He will bless you with the wisdom to bring up an honest and non favoured legacy.

Truely Kapish,

Thumbs up to my new pal Arie Wambani, ok Arie, I like your name, its not the kawaida Jack and Jill… Janet and John. Sawa, have a blast of a week see u Sunday.

10th June 2007 “Love Your Personal Space”

Bumpa Stikas

‘Najivunia Kuwa mkenya’

‘Proud to Be Kenyan’

‘Kenyta ni Yetu’

Dear Friends,

what do these stikas signify? dont they all show us a sign of pride in our own country? Well Pasi this Sunday was mad at doods who are bila that pride, all the way from country to the bedroom.

Love one another

Mathew 7:12 (NIV)

12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

What is the first thing you do when you go shopping, for clud and njums for example!!! Go check out the most expensive imported stuff. Want that satin dress made in Italy, those leather shoes made in France, try on everything that you possible cannot afford!!!

Is made in Kenya bad?

Ya, we want the finer things in life, we have what it takes to create them but we dont make it happen. We want the best for ourselves but the majic question is…¬† do we give our best to others?

Do we give out all?

Do we produce our all?

Judging from the king of questioning, you can tell how Pasi was feeling about the issue of not just thinking of ourselves but of others like we think of us.

We dont take stock of ourselves, we think that the world is closing down on us, we look at a scenario where the glass is half empty.

People you need to go out there and make new friends, dont live with the thought that that man/woman in your life who is a terrible pain is the end of the world… There are many fish is the sea, temana with the ones that are floating because those ones are usually ‘dead’.

How to go about this…

Improve your personnal space. East or west home is best, Dont make it look like a catastrophie to be home, make your bed, open your curtains, tidy up, temena with that story or organised chaos because it does not exsist.

Pasi as is kawa gave an example of hinself in his younger days, the only tidy item he had was his Sunday artire, I will leave the rest to your imagination, and for those of you who cannot imagine, I could show you a typical batchelor house…¬†mail me!!!

Anyway, understand where you are, make a change to your personal space, your enemy is watching you and is expecting is enjoying every minute of your frustration. Be proud of who you are.

Pasi gave an example of China, where there is 3 people for every one person in the world, they take pride in thier space, huko dogies are rared like we rare goats here, for food, When those jamaas where jengaring mombasa road, dogies in te visinity where wekwad on high alert, but in vain, they still mysteriously disapeared anyway. onclude for yourself…

Whe all is said and done, the Chinees love thier coutry, They are creating jobs forthier people left right and centre, they are looking into the elec need for their people with the 3 gorges dam that is nearing completion.

Enyewe look at the stuff in the shops today, its all made in China, from a thermos vaccume flask, electronics, matress,¬†cool duvet’s¬†etc. etc. etc.

We need to take stock of out strenths and improve on them, we have to stop living like visitors in our own homes and take pride in being home. Make it a good place to worship the Lord.

Psalms 46:10 (NIV)

10 “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† I will be exalted in the earth.”

We are always mourning… its time we created an atmosphere for quite time, temana with the box(TV) all the time, take time to sit and make time for God.

Temana with that chick/dood that is so full of themself, the ones who the whole world can read malace on thier faces, temana with the. Rember there are a thao fish IN the sea. We are giving Satan toooooo much Credit and that aint right peepz.

Appreciate your space, Peace of mind is the radar of a christian, this the time you can reflect and think, read the bible to get intouch with God

 John 1:1(NIV)

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Juana na Sir God…

Pasi again brought up the storo of love and hollywood… please read the past blogs for details. This time he ongezead deaperate houswives… ha ha ha ha. What the hell do you mean by desperate housewife? kwan she is bila a husband? basically the people who depict true love on telly have no idea what in reality true love is.

1 Corinthians 13 (NIV)

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

True love is only in the scriptures. Not on TV.

Onc again, Appreciate your personal space, you and only you alone can do that, you and the Heavenly God, you and your quiet time.

Pasi stressed that the brains that control African economy¬†are Kenyan… Serious financial guyz in Nigeria, Btoswana, UG, TZ etc are meros from Kenya.

Route planner for Virgin atlantic in West Africa is a Mero, Jimmy Kibati Botswana city planner is a Kenyan.

All in all the gretest braindrain in Africa is in Kenya.

bana why do you all want to go abroad? states, etc??? The God of states is the Same God of Kenya. build your personal space in your country. It starts with your room, your personal room to your country.

Eti hata wall street huko oteto kuna wakenya mabigshot. banaa…

Remember With God all things are possible even here at home, keep in mind that failing to plan is ls planning to fail. Keep the right company. Larry King made it to where he is now because of good planning, from a nobody.

And to crown it all pasi gave some tips on getting a good job…

1) Study the organisation

2) Findout how much they pay

3) Dont walk in like a dula, have cofidence

4) Be smart.

bet annoyed at doing wrong, let life be your choice and make the right choices, Dont live what someone else want you to live when you can make life better for yourself by slightly going out of the way.

Pasi give an example of a Gentlman who opted to go back to form 2 in order to get good grades fron form four. Yes he did and he is now a state council, the dulas who laughed at him are still at the village hanging around the shops. Ha… he who laughs last lasts longest. And he who seeks on confidence, finds.

Take care you all,

Sunday 3rd June 2007 “How to Stand out From the Crowd”

This of course does not apply to Shila and all the other frontrunnerz in the diaspora who are in Islam oppression areas. I would humbly request you all to pray for Shila. She has posted her story on the ICC_LEAGUE yahoo group about how she is now going to Pemba where there is bila a church. Peeps!!! pray for the youth in TZ to hook up with JC. Pastor Tony mentioned it and now Shila who is there is confirming it again that the youth in TZ have still ringad storo’s of JC. Maze tuwaombee. And once again… Shila may god bless you and may that Sheik either get saved in the name of Jesus Christ or leave you alone. Halelujuah Amen.

Pastor Tony started the service today by reiterating that Sunday is a great day and how he looks forward to Sunday’s. I could not agree more.

Pasi first asked two vital questions…

1. Where do you want to go?

2. What are the circumstances that are surrounding you?

Are you guyz taking stock of what you have or are you living a life of everything being ready for you? fast foods, microwaves, where everything is ready for you.

Opportunities to think have become rare, jobs are no longer you bring in your great ideas, they are you doing what other people want to do.

Pasi in his great wisdom gave the perfect example… A person from straight A’s, campo with a degree in finance gets a jobo in a bank, then the his jobo is stamping cheques.

A lawyer, msee amesoma laws za Kenya kama zote and he has new ideas kama soo mbe, then he is given a jobo of filing and bebaring files to court in a law firm… sit thats bafu chafu?

Pasi gave examples of creativity in the older days… the days of his youth which happens to also be the days of my youth and the creativity there was with the kids of those days, jamaaz used to make moti’s with tins of blueband… (ooops just to for info, bb used to be in mkebe’s), then have a safo paralel with the kawa safari rally, he also mentioned the use of NCC dustbin lids as shields in estate to estate wars not to forget the stealing of slippers of matheys to make tyres for the motis. Ya, bad but creative, today tois want the ready made video game, akina ps, xbox, etc.

Christian communities suffer shame because of the kind of the people we are as opposed to the kind of people we are supposed to be.

Every leader is looking for a faithful servant, one he can rely on and one who is can run his business in his absence, God is also in the business of seeking the faithful.

John 4:23-24 (NIV)

23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

God has a place for you in life, it may not be sugar coated and lines with silver but it is there and it exists. Upende usipende.

Organizations will pay trust worthy peeps anything. God will take you up for just the trust and will grant you more than you can handle. hey just try Him.

Do we have friends we share all our deepest secrets with? stories like out secret loves, stories of masturbation, well pasi reiterated that those are very few if any. But we must note that the bible clearly states that we must confess our sins to one another…

James 5:16 (NIV)

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Again to be good people we must memorize the scriptures. this is a first hand communicator with God.

The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few…

STAND OUT… its easy, it just takes going the extra mile, one way to stand out is to be on time in everything we do, for example be on time to work everyday, be on time for your dates, be on time to church, do not have a reputation for being late all the time.

Be dependable to your organization, school, college etc whatever you are doing.

Our character is what blocks us from achieving our objectives, Moses had a temper, one mean temper, but God knew that his character was good,God Trusted him to lead the Israelites up out of Egypt. Moses was faithful

Being unfaithful is like the verse below…

Proverbs 25:19-20 (NIV)

19 Like a bad tooth or a lame foot
is reliance on the unfaithful in times of trouble.

20 Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day,
or like vinegar poured on soda,
is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.

Meno mbaya and unfaithfulness are the same thing, like a sore, a wort, something in the way being a nuisance etc.

Ya we are not perfect but through out effort, God is willing to work with our imperfectons.

Romans 3:23 (NIV)

23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Its time we took respomsibility fow whatr we say, Many friendships are destroyed because of this, gossip and ratting (As pasi Tony Put it)

Pasi stressed…

Choose within yourself to Stand OUT !!!

You do not have to be a rocket scientist to stand out.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NIV)

11 I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all.

Opportunity only knocks once…

Examples of guys who have been faithful are like Nick Kipaiator Biwott who though being alledged the Aukland Bull, Fomer Presi H.E. Moi Still Stuck to his side.

Isaiah Kiplagat who was a prison warder was also treated well for being faithful to Mr. Moi.

Currently we see Mr. Kiraitu Murungi who though was caught on tape being utterly defensive to some alleged corruption scandal, has been retained by H.E. Emilio Kibaki for being faithful. Pasi named those few.

Pasi Tony has unveiled that he has usoro for how peepz operate in church, He told peepz to wacha jealousy over how thier pals operatw eith their demus for how they derss.

I loved this statement…

The devil has not retired but we are VICTORIOUS!!!

So basically let what you dont have not make you jealous. So what if you dont have cash, so what if you dont have hot clud!!!

Duhh “I used to sell Mboga in bible school to make ends try to meet” Exclamed Pasi Tony.

Pasi stressed that peer pressure really begins after school, in the working world and I would not agree more!!! We want what our friend have to the extent that we end up over borrowing from banks and creating a true picture of not living within our means !!

People steal from their employers ad remember Proverbs 25:19. lame foot and bad tooth you are.

Again he mentioned that true love is not plastic but authentic, Guyz, we have to keep our manhood at bay till marriage if we are to claim to truly love any lady, go for lunch, watch a movie, COME TO CHURCH, but stay out of the BED!!!

Chooze today to stand out of the crowd.

Commit your brokenness, broken relationship, sad face, etc. to the Lord and he will give you the gift your request of His in His own time.

Proverbs 18:16 (NIV)

16 A gift opens the way for the giver
and ushers him into the presence of the great.

have a pleasant week ahead and take care. Come for prayers on Tuesday evening, and God bless.
