21st October 2007 “The Big Picture”

Dear Friends,

For a long time, I had seen demons being cast out on TV, I never thought that it could happen right in front of my very eyes. Well shock on me!!! This Sunday a ministry of which I am a member of was running the service so we had to be in church by 7am for prayers and preparations. As I was praying, I asked God for a sign that he is usually in the tent with us during the service, I kept asking Him to send the Holy Spirit to come pay as a visit as we where worshiping. Yes, I believe that the Holy Spirit is omnipresent and always is always there when we are in prayer but friends lets agree on one thing, seeing is believing… This Sunday immediately after the first service when Jesse, the chap who was preaching asked for those who wanted to accept Christ to Stand up and pray with him, One lady who had lifted her hand was attacked by a force I did not comprehend. Then it hit me, it was the devil refusing to get out of her as the Holy Spirit was commanding him out. Finally through strong prayer from Kioko, Gibson and the rest of the church, it left her and THANKS TO THE GOOD LORD SHE WAS BORN AGAIN, FRESH AND CLEAN. By the way there was no pastor in the tent, the service was being run by the youth. You don’t need a pastor for the Holy Spirit to manifest in you, you just need PRAYER, FAITH and BELIEF.

God showed me the sign of his being I have always prayed for. Frankly I am never serious when I make that request because, for crying out loud, I just feel that since I have faith why do I need to Bug God to start showing me physical signs? But who knows, God showed me the sign anyway. I tell you this was a clear basis for renewal of my faith. I am now praying for the Holy Spirit to manifest in my soul ever the more.

The Service…

This Sunday saw Jesse Mbagara deliver a very powerful message to the youth at the tent at ICC. By the way Jesse is no doctor, lawyer or reverend, he is a university student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology and No!!! he is not doing Theology, he is taking Mechatronics engineering. (I just called him to confirm the course and he had the odasity to answer the phone while the lecture was in progress, I could hear the Lecturer in the background talking figures).

Anyway, Jesse starts by telling us the story that is so common with many of us to this day, the story of how going to church for some of us used to be such a drag when we were kids, the story of waking up lazily knowing that there is no teacher in Sunday school with a whip to beat us up fpr being late so the preparation period took ages.

Contrasting the bible with a storybook and how it had 66 boring books in one compared to some fairy tail story book that was short, funny and interesting.

Looking back, that was a bad start to life, Sunday these days is a beautiful day, a day with an agenda look at life from a large perspective for as compared to the past, life now and the future for you the Christian is the key to you future and where you are going

Imagine a beautiful place/land full of milk and honey and beautiful heavenly trees with lovely ripe fruits. In this land imagine a city with beautiful fortified walls that noven 100 armies can break, totally impenetrable. In the city is the center of focus which is through the gate where there are 24 characters with long gray silky beards. The person in the center, on the throne has a glowing face.

Revelation 21:11-14(NIV)

11It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

To confirm this imagination please read:-

Revelation 4:11-21

Revelation 4:2-11

Well it is obvious you have no real concept of this imaginery land we have just created but look at now, look at this present life you are leading. Take a look at your parents and the See Saw attitude at home of when your parent walks in you walk out and vice versa… The way you are or in this case where woken at 5am to go to school even before the birds have finished dreaming, then you go to college and are expected to get a job and begin your own life… There are those who think you are wasting resources boy being unemployed, those distant relas who think they can run your paro’s digs by proxy.

Then come 2002 you voted, you received trash at your door step, now you will vote 2007 and you will probably receive trash that is sweetly packaged at your door step, bla bla bla, then you see the same old politicians, (Paid more than many of their European counterparts) driving their hot rides which they buy at the same rate as that which slums are developing.

Another factor is not understanding how terrorists think, instead of selling a 747 and feeding many hungry people, the guy flies it into a building, someone develops a bomb with the aim of blowing up innocent people. Yap this is how meaningless we can perceive life to be, just one vicious mean cycle, from our for fathers, through us to our kids and their kids. Birth, troubles of the world, death.

Ecclesiastes 1:2 (NIV)

2 “Meaningless! Meaningless!”
says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless.”

This life has no meaning, no bearing, we are all running towards the grave. If you are young and in college, think about 10 years from now. Does anyone know what you are living for? Are you living in in that circular motion, waiting to pass the baton to the next, that circular motion of birth to death?

Genesis 3:1-7(NIV)

1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

4 “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Do you see what the read problem is now? Well I sure hope so, the reason you see life as meaningless is because SIN was introduced into the world, it is sin that makes us live meaningless lives. If the problem in life was economic, God would not have sent Jesus the messiah to come and pay a ransom for our lives, He would have sent some economist so that ‘Kazi Iendelee’

Sin subjects us to a state lower than we are meant to be. Creation was subjected to decay because of the sin of man Those issues, those things we have that we want to sort out, they are all sin, lets stop giving them giesty names.

Romans 8:18-27(NIV)

18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21that[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

Revelation 12:1-12(NIV)

The Woman and the Dragon

1A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. 4His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. 5She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
11They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
12Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short.”

The devil wants people to burn with in the well of sulfur fire, that is why some of these secular musicians are telling you to relax and live life here in earth to the fullest and bila God. That is why they are teaching you of evolution, ati that beautiful girl you admire every day was evolved from an ape!!! This is playing tricks on your mind and brainwashing you.

God sent us a fall guy to rid us off our sins, all we need to do is believe. God is committed to pay for our sins, imagine you crash a guys car and he waves you away telling you that he will cover the expenses and that you should not worry!!! Wicked ay? God sent his Son Jesus to pay a ransom for us all, oh and to get part of this pie you have to repent and confess.

Jesus died that we may see things we had not been able to see naturally like the miracle I saw in the first part of this message of salvation. Jesus was whipped skinless, torchered, forced to carry a rugged heavy cross to calvary and he only collapsed once. Yes, Jesus was a strong man. If it where Jesse he would have given in at the point of being crowed with thorns, if it was me, Judas would not have managed to get at me in the first place.

Jesus was nailed to the tree and (Off the record) in those days, they used to add pain by nailing male genitalia as well. Jesus paid a dear price so that we may be forgiven for the trouble on earth… Get the picture? hat is why he died in calvary. Our greatest need was forgiveness of sin!!! All we need is to have faith.

Hebrews 11:1-2(NIV)

1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for.

Man people have paid for believing in Christ, take for example in Russia the underground Christians who used to send fliers where persecuted, the Uganda martyrs, Christians in modern China, Christian in the middle East. and many more. Every time you attack the devil, you remind him of Calvary where he was whooped senseless.

God has passed that huge mountain over you, He has given you a solution, you have seen the price that was paid.

Thank you very much

Jonathan Kathukya.

Sunday 14th October 2007 “Keep a Journal”

Dear Friends 🙂

Are you forgetful? Do you forget stuff all the time, do you forget the good things that people have done for you? Well if you don’t you need to share some of your memory with either me or more even pasi who declared himself “Anthony FORGET Kiamah”. So this was his sermon on keeping a journal.

We tend to forget the good things that have been done for us eg. you buy a new dvd player and a instead of joining a library, you borrow from a friend who has a library account of his own. a few months down the road you have totally forgotten all that your pal did for you when he/she comes to your place with a problem. Your treat them like trash.

Once in a while friends, remember that its the good Lord who has brought you to where you are right now not yourself. Sit down and take stock of how much the Lord has done for you. Remember who you called upon for help when you where sitting your exams, when you where in trouble, think about your life’s hurdles and how you overcame them to this point in time.

Last week we discussed the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Let us revisit that story. Remember we mentioned how King Nebchadnezzer told his subjects that they should noly worship the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego…

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. 29 Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.”

… well later on in the same kingdom, the son of the same king, Nebchadnezzer, forgot what a great deed the Lord had done and the decree given by his father…

Daniel 5:1-4 (NIV)

1 King Belshazzar gave a great banquet for a thousand of his nobles and drank wine with them. 2 While Belshazzar was drinking his wine, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver goblets that Nebuchadnezzar his father [a] had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them. 3 So they brought in the gold goblets that had been taken from the temple of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines drank from them. 4 As they drank the wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.

The same people now worshiping gods of cups and goblets… after witnessing such a miracle!!

The bottom line of all this friends is the fact that your should keep a journal. take notes of all the achievements you have made and failures you have gone through in the past. Its strange that the hurdles ahead of us always appear bigger that the ones we have crossed in the past.

Pasi gives the example a a person standing outside a VCT with a sore mouth and strange weight loss, praying to God to come out negative and telling Him that if the result is negative, they will chop off the part that made them sin the next day. Three days since the result was negative you have long forgotten, you pata this fine mama and in the nix if things have your way with her… Shortly your hear rumors that she is HIV + and you had long forgotten your own fate just 3 days before.

There you go again outside the VCT praying again trying to tell God all the good things you have done. People!!! its not God who told you to open your ZIP!!! Anyway this is a clear case of the mountain ahead looking higher than the one you had passed before.

If you had taken note of what you had gone through in your journal, the chances are that you would not have gone digging the same hole again as sweet as it may feel or sound. And I am going to buy a journal because I am feeling STUPID typing this and and I have never kept one myself.

A time is coming when we have to take risks, when you will need to pray and trust in the Lord. How will your remember that time if you don’t account for it in a journal? The fact of the matter is that when your are right, no one remembers, but when you are wrong everyone remembers.

We never forget peoples failures, peoples pain, peoples embarassing moments. (I was discussing this sermon with a friend of mine in our bible meeting last evening and we concluded that remembering and dicsussing all these bad things about others is what the white man called in one word GOSSIP).

There are numerous stories in the bible of mankind forgetting the good that God has done for then and God journals then very clearly. Let me give you one example… God released the Hebrews up out of Egypt, took them across the red sea away from bondage. The same Hebrews forgot that and when Moses was In the Mountain of God, they made a golden calf and worshiped it as their god. Now friends is that fair to God? And we do that everyday. God answers our prayers and we forget and turn to evil… those small white lies etc. that are all as a result of forgetting what God has done for us.

Look at Joseph’s Story of being sold by his brothers and nearly being made to have sexual sin, si Joseph could have complained to God the way we always complain every time we have a small domestic? but Joseph chose to remember the good God had done to him and not complain. (If your frequent on this blog you will know Joseph’s story. Same goes to those in CG’Z coz its the first story in the new set book. If you’d want more info related to the story read…

We must understand that the purpose of God’s will will always prevail whether we like it or not. Take time to write the things God has done for you.

Another funny example was that hf Kenya Assemblies of God stopping sending regular pastors to the states for further studies since after leaving with numerous promises of church planting and growth, they don’t come back. Later we hear rumors of how they got married and the works while their local wives and kids are here languishing in poverty.

Remember last weeks story of daring God, well do it, if you need a Job, read last weeks blog and do that move of walking into a CEO’s office and telling your story and whay you can offer.

Keep a journal, that is how you will remember all the nice things God has done for you and all the tuff hurdles he has helped you jump. Next time you are facing a hurdle you will refer and know how the past has been. God helps you take risks, He gives you courage. You should have that courage, take for example Larry King who was sitting at home watching a talk show and descided that he can do better, went to the station, told them exactly that and got a show in his name, look at him 25 years later?

Have confidence, don’t piss on yourself every time you are in some interview room let ‘NO’ mean ‘COME AGAIN’.

Write your emotions, feelings thoughts etc… Take stock, evaluate… Where there is no feedback there is no growth, impress your interviewer and look them in the eye.

I will give a guy side but this applies to both… If you loose a chick to some guy and your feel small like a pea, remember that the is a fatter looser than you. Just document it so that next time you can refer and change your strategy, This will help you achieve better results next time.

Remember Even God has His journal and we have open access to it. He called it the Holy Bible

Thanks alot for your time and God Bless

Jonathan Kathukya.

Sunday October 7th 2007 “Never Be Afraid to Fail”

Dear Friends,

I trust you are all ok in the Lord and that you are all blessed to the brim. This week was slightly different down at the frontrunnerz tent at ICC, Pastor Tony gave a sermon based on his autobiography and I don’t like doing biographies online so I will give you the essence of the sermon but will leave out the part that led many to tears which unfortunately is the meat of the story. BUT… don’t be afraid to ask any frontrunner to give you the story on a one to one basis or post the request in the ‘Ask Pasi’ window of this weblog site, I will make sure he types it out himself. Thanks.

Friends, its true we pray with the hope of offloading the burden we have on the good Lord who has said that he will take away our burdens but sometimes you pray but you feel like you leave have left a heap load of baggage on yourself. Don’t postpone that baggage for you are not growing any younger. if you are now like 20 years old, don’t think that that baggage that you have will just go away when you turn 30. It will cling on like a bad disease.

Like you come every Sunday, pray for the next week to be better but courtesy of the baggage you have refused to let go of… wapi???  by the way that is why most of our new year resolutions never come to pass, because we make new resolutions and lenga the previous ones… more baggage.

One fine way to relive ourselves of baggage we do not need to carry is to have faith, pray and to read the bible. Ya it all sounds easy but unlike TV which is just pressing that button on the remote and sitting your backside down on the sofa, prayer and reading the bible require effort and discipline.

We need to pray to God to help us stop focusing on our mistakes and focus more or rather fully on him. We have to avoid focusing on our short comings,  and focus more on God’s promise to us. Take for example Moses of the old Testament, Yes he had a bad temper, and yes he had a stammer, he even mentioned them to God at the burning bush but God told him to focus on his role and not on his short comings. We all know that at the end when he disobeyed God and got angry and Struck the Rock telling it to produce H2O, he was denied to see the promised land.

And So friends, never be afraid to fall if you know who your ultimate guide is. Oops… and thats Christ.

Lets look at this via another angle… Between the old and new testament, there was a 400 year break. God still put continuity, and perfect continuity between the two… and then after all that God choses Mathew, a tax collector, rotten, corrupt, but God still knew that that was some good in him. Mathew had records genaeaology of Christ, he was good at keeping records… Don’t you think that though you think you may be a sinner to the core that God cannot see some good in you?

Then came Mark who was young and haphazard, that is why he had the shortest gospel but he was good and was selected by God. He was followed by Dr. Luke who was wrote the gospel to prove to Theophilus anyway, Mathew, Mark, Luke are all Synopsis gospels. they are more or less alike.

John on the other hand was a disciple of Jesus and also a very close friend, the chap was in Jesus’ inner circle. Thus John know Jesus intimately. That where mabeshte. He pourd out his heart to Christ.

Take a few moments to  tell Christ what is in your heart.

Never think of being poor, always think of prosperity. Just imagine howyou wake up when your are from a dream of being poor, si you wake up with a cold sweat.

As much as you worry about your future, always have in mind that the Lord covered you long time ago as long as you trust in him. Friends, Take Jesus at his word and move on.

You have written a job application, and gotten no feedback, dont give up. Do research on the company of your dreams, find out what they need that you can offer them walk up to the offices and tell them that you have researched on them and that you have found that they have XYZ weakness and you are willing to offer a solution. WHAT IS THE WORST THAT THEY CAN DO TO YOU??? Ask you to leave… will that bite off your toes?

Look at the Story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the Bible, Those guyz had faith in the Lord and when the King Nebuchadnezar…

13 Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king, 14 and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up? 15 Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?”

16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. 22 The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”
They replied, “Certainly, O king.”

25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!”
So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, 27 and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.

🙂 Never Be afarid to fail.

🙂 Make sure that your life counts for something

🙂 Do not focus on sin, focus on God

Look again at the story of Jesus Second Miracle…

John 4:43-54(NIV)

Jesus Heals the Official’s Son

43After the two days he left for Galilee. 44(Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) 45When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, for they also had been there.  46Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. 47When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.

48“Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.”

49The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”

50Jesus replied, “You may go. Your son will live.”
The man took Jesus at his word and departed. 51While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. 52When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour.”

53Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and all his household believed.

54This was the second miraculous sign that Jesus performed, having come from Judea to Galilee.

This official was not necessarily a believer but once he told Jesus his problem, he had faith and he was given the good news and he and his household believed.

In Conclusion…

There is this superstar called Will Smith, he started rapping at the tender age of 12 but none of his hits was recorded till he was 20, that is when he was called to debut in Fresh Prince. All those years he did not give up his dream.

September 30th 2007 “When You Die… How Will You Be on the Other Side?”

Dear Friends,

Pasi this week is back from “Bush Camp” and came back with some terrific jokes from the wazee he had gone with… One such joke was like…

There is this guy who goes out drinking, on his way back home, he stops and zubs, the cops come and find him in this state, almost falling down, When they ask him why he is zubbing, he tells them that everything is going round and he can see his house in the vicinity. That he is waiting for it to come so that he can check in.

Anyway back to earth…

Will we die? Yes, whether young or old or toothless etc, we will all die and it is very important that we very clearly think about this. “How will you be on the other side?” Will you be in heaven or hell?

Yes, some of us will die of accidents, others fire, genocide, war, accident from the disco(avoidable), mataptap/drugs (aviodable). Clearly we will either die of natural/accidental causes or we willl kill your self with the avoidable circumstances as some of the ones I have highlighted above. This may sound like a story but friends look closely at your friends/relatives/brothers/sisters/parents who have passed away. Look at the causes of death, not all are natural perfect deaths. Thus the big question… What will you do when you are in the other side of death?

Daniel 12:1-4 (NIV)

The End Times

1 “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise [a] will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”Friends, this is the age many of us are going places to increase knowledge, how many paly of yours are in States, China, Russia, UK, Europe at large studying… increasing knowledge?  Never in life has there been a time when people like going places in search of knowledge.

Proverbs 11:30 (NIV)

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and he who wins souls is wise.

Daniel 12:3(NIV)

3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

Jesus came to earth, paid the price for all that believe may see paradise. We need to do use this opportunity to spread the word in the nations as we go out to seek the knowledge.

Remember that in the beginning, God created the world and all that is within it. Last bout not least, He created man that man may worship Him. But man sinned. He ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that me may know good and bad. If God was mean, He would have taken this opportunity to destroy man once and for all, but God is a forgiving God, instead he gave man the opportunity to choose between good and bad, to shooze which way to take.

This thus leads us to the next life… The next life will be determined by the choices we make in this life on earth. If we choose evil, its simple… You will burn in Hell!! On the other hand, which is the best option, if you choose good you will have various choices.

Joshua 24:15(NIV)

15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

You may just have plain heaven or you may get heaven with strings attached such as gold jewels *and get to get a seat closer or God… (*I made that up).

Who do you feed? the spirit man or the flesh man? What is your mind saturated with? evil or good? what drives you every day? TV? Do you have dates with TV or with your bible? Pasi admitted that he was addicted to telly, he watched like all the episodes of Knots Landing.  When that was bila elec, the jamaa would pitia a friends place just to watcht eh show. I must admit that I need to watch telly too. I feel empty without ‘ER’ and ‘Without a Trace’. I sought forgiveness for that from the Lord. I need to dedicate time to my bible, to my evening devotion instead of my evening TV. Friends same goes to all of ya.

We are feeding our flesh man. But the day has come to make the right choice. Friends the end is nigh. Days of a chip being installed in your forehead have come, soem people in Singapore already have the chip, in the States you can buy it for around $150… 10,ooo bob. The birth ration of men to women is 1:7. Yes the prophecies in revelation have come to pass and are still comming to pass. We are living clearly in the last days.

Friends in the grave it is too late to make choices, you have to makle them while you are still here on earth.

Ask yourself this… How much time do you spend on unGodly things? eg reading rubbish like the Nairobi Star, secular radio stations, Tabloids, (Me watching CNN) etc. One day we will look and say that we had the capacity to shine like the others who brought people to heaven.

Your works will be judged on that day in heaven, your workes here on earth. Those who lead multitudes will shine plenty in the afterlife, like that preacher man at Kencom that you look down on… His prize in heaven awaits him… How about yours? Our loves are controlled by earthly things… Frends you should video tape the agony, the nerve racking stress in your very households when there is no elec… Kwani bibles use elec?

We need to start feeding the spirit man. Quit life addictions such as
TV etc (you know the rest…) Feed your spirit on the bible. Focus on Christ because the day is comming, the day when you will be judged by your actions and deeds here on earth. The day you will see whether you brought souls to Christ or you just hanged around waiting to go to heaven alone. The day you will see your soace in heaven with a blackout because you never filled the spirit man.

When you talk to people about Christ and Salvation and they deny and turn the offer down, just have im mind that you have done your part. Christ will do the rest. Remember even those you tell have a choice and that you are just offering them the better choice. Christ counts that as one you Led to Him. Spread the word.

Friends we need to overcome the world, we need to feed our spirit man so that we may have jewels and that our light may shine in heaven. Do not fear to lead someone to the Lord. Many have been persecuted doing just that but Jesus told us that they have a light and shining place in heaven. Overcome the things of this world my fellow Christians starting with TV and those things we want to call small ‘white lies’. they are SIN.

Thanks you all

Jonathan Kathukya.
